Table Topics with Jane Bertch from La Cuisine Paris
A new series where I invite friends to my table for a Proustian inspired chat.
I am launching a new series called Table Topics, where I invite people to my table for a meal and chat to get to know them better. As you all know, I loveeee moments talking with people at the table because it’s a place where our souls collide and we get to know each other better and form more memories. And sometimes I already know them but it’s still fun to hear their answers to different questions. The concept is simple yet fun. Think of it like a verbal Marcel Proust Questionnaire, but the questions won’t always be the same. Sometimes they will also share a new project or ongoing work at the end so stick around and I hope you enjoy it!
My inaugural guest is my dear friend Jane Bertch, founder of the popular cooking school La Cuisine Paris, who just released her first book The French Ingredient: Making A Life in Paris One Lesson At A Time. I slide into Jane’s DMs a few years ago asking if she wanted to have lunch with me because we have a few mutual friends but oddly had never actually met. From the moment we sat for Thai food in the 11th, we talked non-stop and haven’t stopped chatting since. I love getting random whatsapp voice notes from Jane when she has ideas or just wants to share something she thinks will make me laugh. It’s truly special when you make a friend like this and things are just easy and support is unwavering. Jane and I also formed a Mastermind group of other biz ladies in Paris and even when we can’t meet, again support is always available. So to kick off this series of quick chats with friends and future friends at the table, I present to you the launch episode of Table Topics. I hope you enjoy it and look forward to sharing more.

I love the cooking classes there. I’ve been several times. Thanks for this. It is lovely.
Jane, love the video. Just bought your book on Amazon and looking forward to reading it before my visit there later this month.
